Perhaps your goal of living a life well led in West Hawaii is buying a home or a second home or even building a home. However, there are many real and perceived obstacles to achieving homeownership on Hawaii Island.

The Best of Kona Festival is featuring a group of professionals in both our homeownership education center and in our real estate vendor area where you can talk to REALTORS®, mortgage and finance experts, and non-profits about the best way to take you from renter to owner, how to put roots down on your own property in Hawaii or even looking at current homes on the market right now.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

Real estate and mortgage professionals will be on hand to discuss all your questions about the home buying process at their booths from 12-6 with classes in the homeownership education center from 12:30-4:30. (Located off of main courtyard at Keauhou Shopping Center)

Information covered will include understanding the pre-approval process, dispelling the notion of a 20% downpayment, credit worthiness, short term vacation rental information, downpayment assistance programs, exactly how to go about buying a home in Hawaii from searching to contract and more!
